Puzzling Play: Food-Themed Escape Rooms

Year 9 Food Tech students were tasked with the goal of designing an escape room that informed the player of a food-sustainability issue.

Co-delivered with teachers from Glen Waverley Secondary College, students used the design thinking process to identify a food issue of interest, generate a number of escape room theme ideas, and design a number of suitable puzzles.

Students created their escape rooms using CoSpaces with guidance and support from Monash Tech School staff.

In 2022, this program continued to be partly funded by a grant originally awarded in 2020 by the Howmet Aerospace Foundation.
