GSEM Jobs and Skills Summit

Prioritising people at the intersection of industry and education

It was inspiring to hear the optimism coming from the Greater South East Melbourne (GSEM) Jobs and Skills Summit at Bunjil Place last Friday! A delegation from the Monash Tech School heard from industry and government on the opportunities afforded by Australia's favourable positioning to grow our manufacturing industry fuelled by renewable energy.

We heard from the Executive Director of progressive think tank Per Capita Emma Dawson on the tripartite approach required of government, industry and education, and GSEM Chair and Monash University Chancellor Simon McKeon AO echoing the sentiment of Sir John Monash that 'we need outstanding humans in a good place'.

Bringing together Industry, Education and Government, Monash Tech School is thrilled to be part of the solution through upcoming events including Careers Launchpad: Clean Economy. We invite organisations, actively engaged in the transition to a clean economy to get in touch and discuss how they can support the next-gen talent pipeline in the Monash region.
